Casey Lee Schell



CASEY LEE SCHELL, 35, of Snover, passed away unexpectedly in a work accident on Monday, April 24, 2023.

Casey was born December 24, 1987 in Deckerville, MI to the late Wayne and Teri (Hull) Schell. He graduated from Sandusky High school with the Class of 2006. Casey was alumni of Future Farmers of America at Sandusky High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. His son, Carter was his pride and joy. Casey loved teaching him the ways of the woods. He spent everyday with Carter. Casey even helped coach his sons baseball team and never missed a game. He was also a member of Michigan Hunting Dog Federation. Casey attended Heritage Methodist Church, of Snover MI.

Casey is survived by his son, Carter Schell; three sisters, Nicole and Justin Bannister, Holly and Jonathon Dueweke and Carmen and Corey Mohr; stepmother, Shanna Schell; grandparents, Joyce Schell Craig and Ron Craig, Vance and Janet Hull, Roger and Sharon Sutherland and Larry and Diane Rohner ; aunts and uncles, Deb Schell and Ted Alkins, Dick and Kim Schell, Brian and Lori Vanderpoel and Rod and Susan Woodward; and six nieces and nephews, Joylynn, Blane, Charlie, Wayne, Owen, Wilder and one on the way, Colton.

Casey is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Teri Schell; grandfather, Floyd Schell; great grandparents, Joe and Joyce Moriartey, Carl and Linda Sutherland, Bob and Anna Hull, and Frances and Leland Nichol; uncle, Jeffrey Woodward.

Family received visitors on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Heritage United Methodist Church, Snover MI.

A funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023 at Heritage United Methodist Church, Snover MI.

Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund for his son Carter Schell in care of Nicole Bannister.
