Livestock sale at fair sets new record



How much were all the sheep, hogs and cows that you saw at last week’s Sanilac County 4-H Fair worth? Friday’s 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale, with 418 animals up for bid, including these grand champions, sold for a record $469,260.74. The old mark was $403,000.

Lakeshore bike path dollars may be lost




The federal funds earmarked for the Port Sanilac to Lexington Bike Path proposal may be leaving the area. The federal transportation secretary recently announced he was giving $470 million to the states for transportation projects that can be started right away.
