Art poster contest winners announced

Courtesy photo During Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Sanilac County Child Abuse Prevention Council held an artistic poster contest.

The winners in each age bracket received a movie pass to the Firebird Theater in Sandusky and had their artwork auctioned off at the annual Tee Fore Two Causes Golf Outing on July 2, with the proceeds going to child abuse prevention programs.

The winners were:

*Ages kindergarten to fourth grade: Cayden Williams, Marlette Elementary School.

*Ages fifth to eighth grade: Elizabeth Kelly of Sandusky Elementary School.

*Ages ninth to twelfth grade: Brenden Nichol of Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School.
