The Marlette Red Raiders are one of those. However, last week, the Lady Raiders were on the wrong side of the score twice. They were nipped, 2-1, by Memphis on Monday and were stopped, 5-3, by Harbor Beach on Wednesday.

In the loss to Harbor Beach, the Lady Raiders were up, 2-0, in the first half, both coming on goals from Riley Ford. The Pirates came back to counter with three goals before the break. Harbor Beach then controlled the final 40 minutes.

Destiny Schmidt had the goal for Marlette in the second half. Taylor Donley, Alivia McCombs and Ford each had an assist on the night

Caitlin McNary was in goal for the Lady Raiders and stopped 15 shots.

In the match on Thursday night, the Yellowjackets held off Marlette.

The lone goal for the Raiders came from Mariah Benedict.

Defensively, Marlette had strong efforts from Shandy Havens, Becca Glass, Marian Benedict and Hannah Bednaryczk. McNary, again, made 15 saves.
