Lady Pirates earn split with BCAS

PECK – In a NCTL Stripes Division doubleheader on Thursday, the Peck Pirates managed to gain a split with a, 17-6, win in the nightcap against Bay City All Saints.

After losing the opener, 4-1, the Lady Pirates broke a 6-6 tie in the sixth by pushing across 11 runs.

Overall, in the win, Peck had 12 hits, including a single, triple and four RBI from Crystal Dhooge. Abbey Bullis (2b), Leah Engler, Auby VanConant, and Grace Sullivan each added two hits. Morgan Winiarski was the winning pitcher.

In the opener, the Lady Pirates had just four hits from four different batters.

Kingston 15-15, Peck 0-1: Peck took on a very good Kingston squad earlier in the week and managed to score just one run. Engler had two singles in the first game and Bullis had two hits in the nightcap for the Pirates.
