With him being our only 4th-year player, we expect him to be a leader” – Coach Sarnac); Cody Babcock (Jr., P/SS; All-County, HM All-NCTL; .471 BA; “This year I am looking for him to step up his game and be one of the team leaders in all aspects. He has been working on his hitting this spring and looking to improve on his .295BA” – Coach Sarnac); Ryan Robinson (Jr., 1B’ “very good 1st baseman and began to come on as a hitter at the end of last season” – Coach Sarnac)

Coach Sarnac on this year’s team: “Our biggest asset this year is our team experience. We are a junior-laden team and most of the players have been playing together since little league and are a tight-knit group of kids. Our biggest strength is pitching – I have five returning pitchers. Our hitting is improving. Our biggest problem last year was starting slowly in the first game of a doubleheader. Coach (Chris) Babcock and I are working on ways to get out to a faster start. We had a kids pick our goals this year and they chose winning league and districts.”

Coach Sarnac on the NCTL: “Our league is always tough with teams that just seem to reload every year. I expect Kingston, Dryden, Deckerville and North Huron to compete in the Stars Division. I see newcomer Bay City All Saints as our biggest competition in the Stripes Division.”
