All of the players on this team have the potential, but it is just about getting the most of that potential. The returning players have played very well every year I’ve coached. We are expecting big things out of every returning player. I expect Marcus and Alex to be our top pitchers; Sean will be one of the best infielders in the league; Will needs to play solid at first base, and, Chad has to improve on his already good performance behind the plate. I expect our hitting to improve from all of the returning players, just because they each had a year to get stronger at the plate.”

Coach Hayden on the GTC East: “We will be competitive in league and, as a coach, I always expect to win league. The team must improve in order to do that, but I feel the program is moving in the right direction.”

We are focusing on being able to capitalize on game situations we have struggled with in the past and execute our game plans consistently. Our team goals include having consistent bats, being aggressive in the base paths, not leaving runners stranded on base, solid defense and improve our overall season record in both league and nonleague games.”

Coach Kady on the GTC East: “I believe this season will continue to be a rebuilding/ foundational year for many of the league programs, with the loss of key players and working with younger student-athletes at the varsity level. The league should be competitive, but I believe there will be opportunities for teams to step up and leave a mark in the league standings. Sandusky, Ubly and Brown City are always solid and we look to build a respectable reputation in the league.”
