Manuel Navarro Sr., age 84, a lifelong resident of Marlette, passed away March 31, 2018 peacefully at United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette.

He was born in Decker, son of Theodore and Francisca (Medina) Navarro on September 19, 1933. Manuel married Beverly June Shoemaker on August 10, 1954. He enjoyed family, being outside and going to the Stockyard on Monday mornings. Manuel will be sadly missed by all.

Manuel is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly June Navarro; eight children, Manuel (Cheryl) Navarro, Deb (Chuck) Chappel, Roxanne (Matt) Smiley, Brenda (Russ) Holtez, Colleen (Al) Degrande, Billy Navarro, Ron (Billi) Navarro and Kelly (Don) Belle; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with another due in May; two brothers, Joe (Myra) Navarro and Julius (Joan) Navarro; and two sisters, Evelyn (Carl) Buniak and Rebecca (Floyd) Fowler.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Cecil and Lupi; and two sisters, Julia and Irene Salas.

There will be a Private Burial of Cremated Remains at a later date in Marlette Cemetery in Marlette.

Memorial Contributions may be made to United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette.
