Deondre Green Deondre Green WORTH TWP. — Sheriff’s deputies have arrested one suspect and plan to charge two others in what police are calling a “spring break crime spree.”

At least three homes were broken into last week, according to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department.

On April 6, Deputy Todd Laming investigated a breakin on Aspen Road, which led him to three suspects and other residences that were broken into.

Laming and sheriff’s Detective Mark Ruggles obtained confessions from the trio, according to the sheriff department.

One suspect has been arraigned in court.

Deondre Green, 17, of Lexington was arraigned April 8 in Sanilac County District Court. He is charged with two counts of home invasion-2nd degree, unlawful driving away a motor vehicle, larceny in a building and receive and conceal stolen property $1,000-$20,000.

Green is scheduled for a probable cause conference on April 17 and a preliminary examination on April 24.

Charges are expected to be sought against the other two suspects, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old from Lexington, according to Undersheriff Brad Roff.

Two golf carts and a mini bike have been recovered from the crime spree.
