High marks for mental health chief

Wil Morris received a good job performance evaluation, and a raise from his bosses.

Morris, the executive director of Sanilac County Community Mental Health, received a composite rating of 4.57 out of a possible 5.0 - with 5 being exceptional – in his first-year evaluation by the community mental health board.

Comments made by board members included: “The CMH (Community Mental Health) is really a lot better since Wil has taken over. The Agency is really active in the jail, the community and the Personal Growth (Center), also in the car washes…Re-opening Creative Enterprises…”

The board approved a 3-percent raise, and a 1-percent lump sum payment for Morris, in accordance with other negotiated labor contracts in the agency.

His salary, retroactive to Oct. 1, 2017, the start of the agency’s fiscal year, is $118,450.
