Paint-in-party at the Mansion

If you seek something fun to do during the long, cold month of January, consider a painting class being planned at the Loop- Harrison Mansion in Port Sanilac. The project will be the Port Sanilac Lighthouse. No need to fret over drawing, the lighthouse will already be on 11 by 14 inch canvas and ready for you to paint on Friday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m.

This event is for all abilities. Instruction will be provided on what brushes to use, how to load the paint, and needed brush strokes.

Cost is $35 per person, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum. Preregistration and a minimum of 20 guests is required to hold this event. Reserve your spot by reply¬¨ing to schsdawn@gmail.com. Put “Painting Party” in the subject line. Once 20 people have committed, an invoice will be sent. You can pay via credit, debit or PayPal. Or feel free to drop by the Sanilac County Historical Museum, 228 South Ridge St., Port Sanilac, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
