Croswell winery recognized

CROSWELL — 3 North Vines has been recognized for implementing pollution prevention practices.

The Croswell winery was among 18 farms recently named by the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program. The program assists farmers to comply with state and federal environmental regulations and with Right to Farm practices.

3 North Vines was recognized as a verified farm in cropping and farmstead systems.

To become MAEAP verified, farmers must attend an educational seminar, conduct a thorough on-farm risk assessment, and develop and implement a plan addressing potential environmental risks.
