James “Jim” Offner, age 87, of Snover, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born September 4, 1929 in Detroit, to the late Ralph and Lillian Offner. He married Geraldine Evelyn Jevons on June 9, 1961 in Roseville. She passed away October 3, 2015. Jim began his career with the Detroit Fire Department and Rescue 3 Squad in 1950. He retired from the department as a Lieutenant in 1978. Jim served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A.

He is survived by three children, Kathy (Dean) Berden, of Snover, Jim (Pat) Offner, of Florida and Lori (Bob) Lewandowski, of South Carolina; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Johnny Berden.

Funeral services were held at Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky.

Military Rites by the Sandusky VFW and American Legion.

Burial was in Moore Township Cemetery, Snover.

Arrangements by the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky.
