Dorothy Spencer, age 94, of Peck, was called home by her Heavenly Father, August 6, 2017. She was born July 17, 1923 in Melvin, to Milton and Beatrice Kettlewell. Dorothy graduated from Peck High School Class of 1942. She married Donald Spencer on July 22, 1944 at Camp Roberts in California.

Dorothy owned and operated Dorothy’s Beauty Shop in Peck from 1960 until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed her winters in Lakeland, Florida and playing cards with her wonderful neighbors. Her family was always her first love. She was a member of the Lakeland Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (James) Barron; two grandchildren, Steve (Missy) Parker and Shelley (Pete) Bullis; two step-grandchildren, Tony Barron and Nicole Barron; five great-grandchildren, Chase Bullis, Abbey Bullis, Paige Parker, Maddy Parker and Sydney Parker and five step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Gale Lindke and a brother, Fred Denison and her special friends and caregivers at A Place of Grace.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Spencer; a great-granddaughter, Kylie Bullis; a sister, Jean King and two brothers, Dick and Bill Kettlewell.

The Funeral is at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9 at the former St. John Parish Hall, 5335 S. Sandusky Road with viewing one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
