BRIDGEHAMPTON TWP. — Three people were injured, two seriously, in a two-vehicle wreck Saturday.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Maple Grove Road and Forester Road on Aug. 5 at approximately 12:45 in the afternoon.

According to Deputy Luke Zeller of the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office, a 2013 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by a 70-year-old Bad Axe man was headed north on Maple Grove Road when it failed to yield at the intersection of Forester Road and collided with a 2007 Dodge Charger headed west on Forester.

Traffic on Forester Road does not stop at the intersection.

The Charger was driven by Reginald Graves, 66, of Sandusky and was also occupied by one passenger, Suzanne Bower, 60, of Carsonville.

The unnamed driver of the Silverado pickup and Bower were transported by Sanilac EMS to McKenzie Hospital in Sandusky. Graves was treated at the scene and released.

Bower was later flown by Flight Care to Covenant Hospital.

All occupants were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor.

The name of the driver of the Silverado was not released as the crash is being reviewed for possible charges.

Assisting at the scene were Deckerville Police, Sandusky Police, Deckerville Fire, Carsonville Fire, and Sanilac EMS.
