Library entertains visiting grandsons

Dear Editor:

The Sanilac District Library in Port Sanilac is famous for many fine programs and services that it provides to our community. One of the latest services provided by The Sanilac District Library is that of Respite Care for Grandparents!

Our twin grandsons, who are 8 ½ were visiting for a week. We had books and movies to return to the Library during their stay. Upon entering the Library we were greeted with much enthusiasm by Ann Merriman. Ann is a retired teacher in the CPS school system. She was happy to meet Sam and Ben and eager to point out movies that would be appropriate.

Gail Maher came out of the office and also greeted the boys with a smile and showed them the computers and a stack of books that she thought they would enjoy reading. We spent a few minutes going through all of that information.

It was at that point that Gail brought out the Lego Twister game that the Library had recently received. She set it up in the children’s room and the three of us played the game for a half an hour!

Thank you, Ann and Gail, for helping to entertain the boys in such a great environment. We are really fortunate to have the Sanilac District Library in our community.
