Tigers drop two in NCTL openers

DRYDEN – Scoring runs was not too much of a problem for CPS in their NCTL spring debut in softball last Thursday. However, the Dryden Cardinals were unstoppable at the plate.

The Tigers lost twice to the Cardinals in league play, 16-6 and 21-12.

In the first contest, Emily Sawyer wielded a strong stick, collecting three hits and driving in four runs for CPS. Sam Ploep added two hits.

Jenna Davis was the losing pitcher, despite striking out 10 batters.

In game two, Sawyer had three more hits while Danielle Hadd, Kelsey Emerson and Mackenzie Falls all had two hits.
