Doris A. Schultz, age 83 of Sandusky, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was born September 4, 1932 the daughter of the late Roy and Loretta (Mercer) Hazen. She was a member of the Countryside Free Methodist Church, Sandusky.

Doris is survived by her son, Monty (Tammy) Schultz of Tennessee; five grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Schultz of Cass City, Michelle (Chris) Caringi of Carsonville, Desiree Schultz of Deckerville, Jessica (Josh) Houthoofd of Sandusky, and Danielle Tedhams of Tennessee; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Chase of Lapeer, and Katherine Mills of Sandusky; four brothers, George Hazen of Sandusky, Frank (Teresa) Hazen of Flint, Richard Hazen of Ypsilanti, and Robert (Cindy) Hazen of Colorado; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald, Elwin, Abner, and Kenneth Hazen.

Funeral services were held at the Countryside Free Methodist Church, Sandusky. Pastor David Coleman officiated.

Burial was in Hyslop Cemetery, Sandusky.

Memorials may be made to Countryside Free Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank all the healthcare workers at the Sanilac Medical Care Facility of Sandusky, and the United Hospice Services of Marlette.
