City Manager Dave Faber said they have raised nearly $170,000 in pledges, donations and with fundraisers, however the committee needs roughly $18,000 more for benches, picnic tables and trash cans. First row, left to right: Councilmember Sandy Barr; committee members Joanne Stoutenburg, Lynette Lawrence-Kirk, Shelby Combs and Councilmember Ginny Bissett; Mayor Tom Lukshaitis; Barry Lester (Chief Lester’s son); Dave Faber. Back row, from left: Councilmember Roger Williamson; Committee member Bill Dixon; Police Chief Brett Lester; Councilmember Brad Harris.
