Eldon L. Bowers, age 86 of Peck passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was born June 14, 1927, the son of the late Clarence and Lillian (OíMara) Bowers. He graduated from Peck High School and was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Edith Will on December 30, 1950.

Eldon was a life long farmer and was able to get up every day and do some work even as his health failed. He loved horses and enjoyed being around them. He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Peck and the Peck American Legion.

He is survived by his wife and constant companion of sixty-two years, Edith Bowers; his children, Gary (Evie) Bowers, Pam (Ron) Turner, Dean Bowers and Lynn, Lori (Chet) Zappa, Dale (Betsy) Bowers; ten grandchildren, Trace Powell, Gabe Bowers, Daniell (John) Wilga, Jessie (Dan) Lyod, Scot (Jenny) Bowers, Todd (Megan) Bowers, Stephanie (Mike) McMillian, Heather Zappa, Chealse (Aaron) Nickel, Michael Bowers; sixteen great grandchildren, Nicole and Christian Bracken, Ben Loyd, Caleb and Destiny Bowers, Jacob and Kali Powell, Logan McMillan, Jaylynn Zappa, Ben and Jonah and Lily Wilga, Rylee and Payton Alfaro, Tara and Brandon VanConant.

He was preceded in death by a son, Larry; a daughter, Lisa; a brother, Clifton Bowers and a granddaughter, Corey Alfaro.

Funeral services were held at St. John Church with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery with grandsons serving as Pall Bearers.
