Brick throwers won’t be charged

Two Sandusky men who threw bricks from the roof of Sheldon Medical Supply won’t face criminal charges.

Sandusky Chief of Police Brett Lester said the medical supply business on West Sanilac Avenue “is opting to not prosecute” the men for the May 20th incident.

According to the chief, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. when the subjects, ages 20 and 21, who were drinking a 12-pack of beer on the roof, decided to break apart the chimney and toss bricks into the street and parking lot.

Some of the bricks struck the State Farm Insurance building across the street, leaving dents.

The men also tossed a brick through the glass door in the rear of the Sheldon building, then went inside to retrieve it.

After the incident, one of the men contacted the chief saying they wanted to turn themselves in and rectify matters.
