Right to Life oratory contest announced

Right to Life of Sanilac County will hold its Annual High School Oratory Contest on Monday, Feb. 18. The contest is open to any 9th-12th grade student. Students must be enrolled in a Sanilac County school or homeschooled in the county. Contestants must send in an application form by Feb. 15t. Contestants compete for cash prizes: first place, $300; second, $200; and third place, $100.

The contest event involves researching, writing and presenting a speech on abortion, euthanasia, infanticide, stem cell research or human cloning.

The contest will be held at the Sanilac MSU Extension Office in Sandusky, 37 Austin Street. The contest begins at 4 p.m. The public is invited.
