CMH supports Walk for Warmth
Employees of Sanilac County Community Mental Health raised $739.09 for Walk for Warmth, the annual event that raises money to pay emergency utility bills for low income families in Sanilac County. The employees collected the money through their Casual for a Cause program. Employees are allowed to dress casually every other Friday in exchange for a $3 dollar donation to the “Casual for a Cause” fund. Other charitable organizations that have benefited from the program include the Sanilac County Humane Society, Eva’s Place, CPS Project Blessing and United Hospice Service. CMH Executive Director Jim Johnson presents the check to Traci Laursen of the Human Development Commission which sponsors the walk. For more information about the walk call 810-648-4497.
