Marlette minister case ongoing
MARLETTE - The police investigation into injuries sustained by the Baptist minister here is continuing.
Chief of Police Brian McGinnis said officers are still interviewing members of the congregation and people that were at the church on Sept. 12, the day Rev. Brad Lambright was found unresponsive on the floor outside his office. He came around shortly after police arrived, and was treated at the local hospital and released a short-time later.
Authorities are trying to determine if Lambright’s injuries were the result of a medical condition or if he was assaulted. A hockey stick was found where he lay.
“We’re still trying to determine what exactly happened,” said McGinnis. “We have found no witnesses or anyone that was there at the time.”
Lambright had no recollection of what happened, the chief stated.
