Hog Town sets record in hospice donation

Members of the Hog Town Inc. motorcycle club outdid themselves in this year’s charity run for United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital. The sixth annual Hog Town Run in August raised a record $17,500, bringing the six year total to nearly $100,000, with the money going for patient care. Approximately 570 motorcycles with about 875 riders took part in the August run. Hog Town presented an oversized check Sunday to Randy Foco, UHS director, who is holding the right side of the check. The youngster holding the left side is Lucas Smith, 4-1/2, of Brown City. Hog Town Inc. is based in Melvin.
