Guttowsky on this year’s team: “Graduation hit out team hard. We lost some strong competitors from last year’s Greater Thumb championship team. Kory McGuire leads this year’s team at #1 Singles..... He makes few mistakes, keeps the ball in play, working the point. He is good at finding his opponents weaknesses.” Guttowsky also added that Duran is an experienced Singles player. Emily Hale and David Soule are the only others with tennis experience.

Guttowsky on the GTC (only four teams): “All the teams lost some key players. Bay City All Saints, Cass City and Harbor Beach are the other teams. The key for all of us will be how quickly our new players develop. I believe the team that does that the best will be the one that comes out on top.”
