Daniel E. Glaxner, age 80, of Speedwell, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 at his home in Speedwell, Tennessee.

He was a retired electrician and lineman, member of the Wells Springs United Methodist Church in Tennessee and a U.S. Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Madaleen Glaxner of Speedwell, TN; his children, Diane (Bill) Rushlow of Wyandotte, Kathryn (Chuck) Goodfellow of Marlette, Myles (Patty) Glaxner of Sterling Heights, Wayne Glaxner of Lansing, Sandra Gonzalez and Ray Contreras of Sandusky; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; three sisters, Nathal Ponziani of West Pittsburg, PA, Ida Bixler of Vienna, Ohio and Cheryl Minns of Muskegon; one brother, Gary Glaxner of West Pittsburg, PA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by one son, Daniel E. Glaxner Jr., and two brothers, Myles and Jimmy Glaxner.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service was held at the Marlette First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Daniel Bowman who officiated.

Burial of cremains was followed with a memorial service at Kingston Cemetery with full military honors.
