Charlene J. Kilmer, age 84, of Marlette, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky, Michigan.

Charlene lived in Marlette since 2003 and was previously from Zellwood, Florida and Lansing.

She was born August 12, 1925 in Lansing, the daughter of the late Pearl and Ruby (Andrews) Bosworth.

She graduated from Sexton High School in Lansing.

She married Kenneth Kilmer June 9, 1945 in Lansing.

Charlene drove school bus for Waverly School in Lansing for 20 years, retiring in 1985.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marlette. Charlene enjoyed gardening, knitting, tailoring work on clothes and most of all, her family.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of 65 years; three sons, Rev. Eric (Kris) Kilmer of Marlette, Mark (Chris) Kilmer of Greenbush and John (Marie) Kilmer of Pratville, Alabama; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service was held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marlette, with her son Rev. Eric Kilmer who officiated.

Burial was in the Deepdale Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Lansing.

Memorials may be donated to Our Savior Lutheran Church School.
